Splash Island

May 5, Monday, we went to Splash Island at Laguna. It is our second time that we went to Splash Island, but this time we are with our family friend/co-employee/neighbor (Ileen and Jufil with their 2 sons). We arrived at the location five minutes before the opening which is 9 am; at the front entrance two buses were parked, we thought that may not enjoy the swimming pool because it is packed with people. But this is opposite when we finally get inside of the swimming pool area, because it is still able to accommodates the guests. The kids enjoyed the kiddie pool and the swimming pool with waves. For us, we enjoyed the slides and the family raft ride.

May 4, Sunday, we left at Lopez Quezon at around 2:00 pm. We used to have stop over at San Pablo Laguna, but this time my husband asked if it is ok if we will not have stop over. The reason is that the slow moving traffic. We can see lot of commuters at bus stops. Because we are moving slow, we saw a familiar face in one of the bus stops at San Pablo. Hera (our co-employee), together with her 2 months baby and her mother is waiting for a bus. My husband stopped at them and offer them a ride. They also live in Dasmarinas, but in different baranggay. She told us that we can drop them off to a tricycle station, but my husband told them that we will drop them to their house.

Reunion at the Beach

It is the third time that the high school batch '64 and their families held their reunion. We missed first two reunion for reasons that we cannot recall (maybe it is work related) ; last year my in laws invited Andrei in this event. There are lots of fun games for both the young and old. They also presented a certificate of appreciation to their high school advisers (it was my idea to give them recognition). After the fun games, the kids and not so kids enjoyed the water and attempting to built some sand castles. Before the end of the program, they elected new set of officer for next year. My father is the president for this year, so he spear headed the election. Over all the reunion was a successfull one.

May 3, Saturday

May 3, Saturday, It is not only the day for the high school reunion of my father in law's but the birthday of my mother in law as well. At around 4 am we woke up to prepare to go to the church to attend the 5 am mass. Unfortunately, when we arrived there we, the mass is already finished. My mother in law asked one of the parishioner, how come that the mass is already done, when it is only 5 am. There was a procession at 4am, it rained a little bit so they decided to stop the procession that early and the priest proceed with the mass. We went to a small eatery to have our breakfast; afterwards we went to Nanay Ideng (my mother in law's mother). We brought some pancit bihon which we bought from the eatery. There also Andrei and Ayi, together with some of their siblings (my husband's cousins); they are spending their vacation there. We invited them to go with us, Ayi wanted to come but she is attending a wedding of a friend. We waited for Andrei to packed her things; while Adrian played with his other cousins (Alham and Alarex).

May 2, Friday

May 2, Friday, I requested for a vacation leave so that we can go to Quezon; while my husband is still coming out from his nightshift duty. When he came home at past 9am, we went to Robinson's Imus to return the slippers of Adrian. After having it replaced for a bigger size, we went home. I already instructed Claire to prepare her things and I will be the one to prepare for my husband and my son. She also prepared a meal for us; after eating, I packed some clothes and other things, while my husband takes a nap ( he will be driving, so he surely needed sleep because he just came ffrom his work). At 2:30 pm, we travel our way to Quezon. There is no traffic yet at the south luzon express way because of the vacationers will be going to the province after their work or early saturday morning. We only had one stop over at Lucena. We arrived at past 7:00 pm at Lopez Quezon. After having dinner with my in-laws; we did some videoke (this time using magic sing). Adrian was not able to sleep in comfort because we left his favorite pillow at home.

My first shot on DSLR

This is my first shot using our nikon D40 DSLR. I just learning to use the camera as of now. I am not yet comfortable using the camera because of the settings that you will set manually. I used to took photos using auto mode in our point and shot digital camera wherein you do not need to set anything.

Afternoon of May 1

After eating breakfast, while watching NBA games, we do our house chores for this day. Claire is cleaning the refrigerator, my husband is cleaning the computer, I saw that Adrian's cabinet is already full, so I decided to remove some of his clothes that were already small for him. He is already size 8 now so I removed those size 6 shirts and shorts. I also removed socks that also small for his feet. I also did some stitching on some of his shirts. We are all busy doing each others chores while Adrian is playing with his toys. All of a sudden, he ask his father where is the blue rag that we use to remove dust in the computer and TV table. When his father gave it to him, we don't have any idea what he is going to do with it untill he went near the TV and start wiping off dust from the table. He even removed the telephone so that he can wipe the dust under it. Upon seeing it I instructed my husband to take few shots of his son.

After meeting my husband's friend, we went to Robinson's mall to eat lunch at Max's. After eating we went to the department store to buy slippers for Adrian and Claire. There we met our co-employe Kerby with his wife and son. We also met another co-employee Norman with his wife. When we arrived, Adrian is still sleeping, my husband woke him up to try his new slippers, unfortunately, the slipper is a bit smaller to Adrian. We will just return the item tomorrow, for replacement of bigger size.
