Check-up at WellCare Clinic

May 20, Tuesday morning, I am preparing to go to work for that day when my husband asked me if I can go with him for a check up at wellcare. He was suffering for LBM yesterday, and this morning his bowel movement has not change. So I immediately informed my boss that I will be on emergency leave. When we arrived at the clinic, he submitted a stool sample at the laboratory and waited for an hour for the result. After giving the results to the attending doctor, he told my husband that there were no virus or bacteria found in his stool, so told my husband to have a blood test. The result for blood test will be ready for another one hour, so we decided to Vel Maris School to pick up my son's books. When we arrived at the Clinic it is almost lunch time so we eat at Jollibee first. After eating we go the clinic, in the waiting area, we met Racquel, she is the wife of my co-employee Gelo. She also used to work at the same company; she just resigned because they wanted to have a baby. They were married few months ahead of us; that is why they are really working on it now. I learned from her that she will undergo ultrasound today. We also talked about each others experience. We also trying to have a second baby for a year now, but still not successful. The blood test of my husband is good, we are relief to hear that. The doctor prescribed him to eat fruits and just take a rest.

May 18, 2008

Adis sent a text message if we could accompany her at the bicycle store of our friend. She is about to buy JC a bike as her birthday gift. Edwin, the godfather of Adrian has a bike stall as their family business. I instructed Adis to go to Dasmarinas town proper and we will just pick her up there. When we arrived at the town proper, we saw Adis walking at the sidewalk, she is heading towards the dunkin donut stall. The kids love donut a lot that why she bought two dozen. After that we also bought grilled chicken from Andoks; this is also a favorite of our family. We went to the stall, and found out that the stall is closed. My husband called his friend and fortunately he is at home which is beside the stall. Matet and JC arrived also at the stall. He wanted to see the bike and cannot wait back in Imus; so he persisted in going to the stall. We waited for 30 minutes for the bike to be assembled, and then we go. When we arrived, my parents were very happy to see my son. Adrian is their youngest grandson; which makes him their favorite. JC is excited with his new bike; he saw other kids with their bikes, so he asked permission if he can try it. At around 9pm we decided to go home, because my husband is expecting a friend to visit us at home.

The story behind our new PC

May 17, Saturday, At around 8am, I called my husband from his work that I like to meet him in Robinson's Dasmarinas to canvas for PC. He agreed and suggested that he will wait for me at pizza hut.I did my usual morning household chores, which includes, cooking breakfast for Adrian and Claire, washing the dishes, and feeding our dog. At around 9am, i prepared my clothes and went to the bathroom, Adrian asked me if I will go to work, I told him that I will meet his Daddy to look for a new computer. When I am ready to go, I saw that my mobile phone is already low battery so I decided not to bring it anymore. After waiting for some time, at pizza hut, I already knew that my husband went to a wrong mall, because he should have been there ahead of me. I called him from a pay phone and told him that I am at Robinson's Dasmarinas, then i was right he was in Robinson's Imus. Instead feeling irritated; I used the time to canvas PC and go walk around the mall. When I got nowhere to go, I decided to go to the SM mall which is located at the other side. I also did the same thing, I went ot all the PC shops and ask for the brochures and freebies that they offer. After that, I decided to go back to Robinson's Dasmarinas to meet my husband. When I arrived, I saw him first, I handed him all the brochures and price lists that I got from the PC shops. We compared each and decided that the one PC stall from SM Dasmarinas has the best offer. He doest not have the cash on hand, he left it at home so went home immediately. When we arrived at home, Adrian is sleeping, we wanted him to come with us but we do not want to disturb him. At around 7pm, we arrived with the new PC, and Adrian is very happy.

Ellah, Charlie, and JC's Birthday

May 11, Sunday, it is not only mother's day; we also celebrate Ellah, Charlie, and JC's birthday. At around 1:oo pm, we went to robinson's imus to buy cake, bread and sandwich spread. As promised we also had the balloons with us. After thet we headed to Imus when I received a text message from Adis, asking if I can buy andoks grilled chicken, liempo and bangus along the way. When I ordered at Andoks, the personnel told me that I still have to wait for 20 minutes for the bangus to be cooked. I called Adis immediately to decide if I will wait for the bangus. She told me to cancel the order and go for the liempo and chicken. We arrived at their house at 1:30pm. Ate Maricel is still not around, she is still cooking the food. While waiting for Ate Maricel; Adis told us that she will treat us a haircut at David's Salon. After having hair cut, we decided to pick up Ate Maricel at their house. Ate Cris and Kyla were already there when we arrived. Ate Maricel cooked spaghetti, fried chicken, and because Adrian does not eat spaghetti, she cooked pancit bihon for him. After eating, the kids had some games and they dance in the tune of "papaya", and many more. We wanted to wait for Lala and her husband Ronnie to arrive, but it is already past 9pm and we have to work the next day; so we decided to go home.

Visited Ate Maricel

May 7, Wednesday, Ate Maricel was admitted at Our Lady of the Pillar Hospital at Imus. She is suffering from a tonsillitis and high fever as well. She had not eat for two days due to pain in swallowing due to the swollen tonsils. I was the one calling the clinic for the past two days that she cannot report to work. On wednesday morning she texted that she is already confined at the hospital and asked me for some philhealth documents that the hospital needs. After office hours, I went to the hospital. I bought some orange and apples on the fruit vendor along the way. My sister is with her husband Kuya Jimmy. Her condition is now okay and she is now able to eat a little bit. On the past two days that she is sick, she (with her youngest son-Charlie) is at Imus with my parents and siblings; this is because Kuya Jimmy works at Manila. We eat tapsilog (from donggalos best) for dinner and after spending some more minutes I decided to go home because the visiting hours is already over.

Splash Island

May 5, Monday, we went to Splash Island at Laguna. It is our second time that we went to Splash Island, but this time we are with our family friend/co-employee/neighbor (Ileen and Jufil with their 2 sons). We arrived at the location five minutes before the opening which is 9 am; at the front entrance two buses were parked, we thought that may not enjoy the swimming pool because it is packed with people. But this is opposite when we finally get inside of the swimming pool area, because it is still able to accommodates the guests. The kids enjoyed the kiddie pool and the swimming pool with waves. For us, we enjoyed the slides and the family raft ride.

Back to Cavite

May 4, Sunday, we left at Lopez Quezon at around 2:00 pm. We used to have stop over at San Pablo Laguna, but this time my husband asked if it is ok if we will not have stop over. The reason is that the slow moving traffic. We can see lot of commuters at bus stops. Because we are moving slow, we saw a familiar face in one of the bus stops at San Pablo. Hera (our co-employee), together with her 2 months baby and her mother is waiting for a bus. My husband stopped at them and offer them a ride. They also live in Dasmarinas, but in different baranggay. She told us that we can drop them off to a tricycle station, but my husband told them that we will drop them to their house.

Reunion at the Beach

It is the third time that the high school batch '64 and their families held their reunion. We missed first two reunion for reasons that we cannot recall (maybe it is work related) ; last year my in laws invited Andrei in this event. There are lots of fun games for both the young and old. They also presented a certificate of appreciation to their high school advisers (it was my idea to give them recognition). After the fun games, the kids and not so kids enjoyed the water and attempting to built some sand castles. Before the end of the program, they elected new set of officer for next year. My father is the president for this year, so he spear headed the election. Over all the reunion was a successfull one.

May 3, Saturday

May 3, Saturday, It is not only the day for the high school reunion of my father in law's but the birthday of my mother in law as well. At around 4 am we woke up to prepare to go to the church to attend the 5 am mass. Unfortunately, when we arrived there we, the mass is already finished. My mother in law asked one of the parishioner, how come that the mass is already done, when it is only 5 am. There was a procession at 4am, it rained a little bit so they decided to stop the procession that early and the priest proceed with the mass. We went to a small eatery to have our breakfast; afterwards we went to Nanay Ideng (my mother in law's mother). We brought some pancit bihon which we bought from the eatery. There also Andrei and Ayi, together with some of their siblings (my husband's cousins); they are spending their vacation there. We invited them to go with us, Ayi wanted to come but she is attending a wedding of a friend. We waited for Andrei to packed her things; while Adrian played with his other cousins (Alham and Alarex).

May 2, Friday

May 2, Friday, I requested for a vacation leave so that we can go to Quezon; while my husband is still coming out from his nightshift duty. When he came home at past 9am, we went to Robinson's Imus to return the slippers of Adrian. After having it replaced for a bigger size, we went home. I already instructed Claire to prepare her things and I will be the one to prepare for my husband and my son. She also prepared a meal for us; after eating, I packed some clothes and other things, while my husband takes a nap ( he will be driving, so he surely needed sleep because he just came ffrom his work). At 2:30 pm, we travel our way to Quezon. There is no traffic yet at the south luzon express way because of the vacationers will be going to the province after their work or early saturday morning. We only had one stop over at Lucena. We arrived at past 7:00 pm at Lopez Quezon. After having dinner with my in-laws; we did some videoke (this time using magic sing). Adrian was not able to sleep in comfort because we left his favorite pillow at home.

My first shot on DSLR

This is my first shot using our nikon D40 DSLR. I just learning to use the camera as of now. I am not yet comfortable using the camera because of the settings that you will set manually. I used to took photos using auto mode in our point and shot digital camera wherein you do not need to set anything.

Afternoon of May 1

After eating breakfast, while watching NBA games, we do our house chores for this day. Claire is cleaning the refrigerator, my husband is cleaning the computer, I saw that Adrian's cabinet is already full, so I decided to remove some of his clothes that were already small for him. He is already size 8 now so I removed those size 6 shirts and shorts. I also removed socks that also small for his feet. I also did some stitching on some of his shirts. We are all busy doing each others chores while Adrian is playing with his toys. All of a sudden, he ask his father where is the blue rag that we use to remove dust in the computer and TV table. When his father gave it to him, we don't have any idea what he is going to do with it untill he went near the TV and start wiping off dust from the table. He even removed the telephone so that he can wipe the dust under it. Upon seeing it I instructed my husband to take few shots of his son.

After meeting my husband's friend, we went to Robinson's mall to eat lunch at Max's. After eating we went to the department store to buy slippers for Adrian and Claire. There we met our co-employe Kerby with his wife and son. We also met another co-employee Norman with his wife. When we arrived, Adrian is still sleeping, my husband woke him up to try his new slippers, unfortunately, the slipper is a bit smaller to Adrian. We will just return the item tomorrow, for replacement of bigger size.
